NaphCare CIO Charlie Barranco Named Finalist for 2026 Alabama ORBIE Awards

Birmingham, Ala. – NaphCare, a leading correctional healthcare company, announced that Chief Information Officer Charlie Barranco was selected and honored as a finalist for the 2026 Alabama CIO ORBIE Awards. The ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in Alabama, honoring CIOs who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Barranco was recognized alongside other finalists at the awards ceremony held March 20 in Birmingham.

Barranco has over 15 years of experience in information technology and system implementations. As NaphCare CIO, he leads a team of more than 130 employees who support mission-critical systems and technology platforms nationwide. He is instrumental in advancing NaphCare’s information systems, driving coordination across departments and implementing scalable technology solutions that enhance patient care and operational workflows – all in support of NaphCare’s mission to improve and save lives in corrections through innovation and excellence.
