NaphCare Perspectives with Keri Burnett - Connecting People, Purpose, and Performance

October 29, 2025

NaphCare is excited to announce that Keri Burnett, our Chief Talent and Marketing Officer, has been recognized as one of Birmingham’s 2025 Women to Watch by the Birmingham Business Journal. This annual award highlights women who have emerged as key leaders in their organizations.

With a background in marketing, talent acquisition, and employee engagement, Keri has a distinct lens to align brand, culture, and people strategy. She’s passionate about telling NaphCare’s story—whether to attract top talent, retain high performers, or reinforce our mission – to improve and save lives.

Describe your role at NaphCare.

As Chief Talent and Marketing Officer, my role is to connect people, purpose, and performance. I lead both the Talent and Marketing divisions with a shared goal: to attract and retain the best talent in correctional healthcare and to ensure that NaphCare’s story—our innovation, integrity, and impact—is told clearly and consistently.

What have you learned about working in correctional healthcare from members of Team NaphCare across the country?

I’ve learned that success in correctional healthcare depends on teamwork, adaptability, and shared commitment. Across the country, our teams show what it means to work collaboratively to solve problems, deliver high-quality patient care, and support one another in complex environments. Their dedication to doing the right thing continues to shape how we recruit, train, and communicate as an organization.

Why should a healthcare professional consider working in correctional healthcare?

NaphCare offers the opportunity to make a measurable difference. We’re not only providing care; we’re improving systems and outcomes through innovation, technology, and teamwork. Healthcare professionals who join NaphCare have the chance to grow their careers in a setting that values their expertise, encourages new ideas, and provides the tools and structure to lead meaningful change. It’s a place where strong teams and strong leadership create lasting impact.

As part of our Life at NaphCare series, I had the privilege of talking to members of Team NaphCare in the field and heard first-hand about why working in correctional healthcare is important to them.

For those who may not have considered correctional healthcare before, I encourage them to learn more about all the opportunities and benefits that it offers.

Which of NaphCare’s core values do you identify with most?

“We Blaze the Trail.” Innovation is at the core of everything we do. For me, that includes improving our hiring process, enhancing provider support, and advancing the quality of patient care. It means constantly challenging ourselves to think differently, act decisively, and find better ways to serve. For NaphCare, innovation drives progress, strengthens our culture, and ensures that we continue leading the way in correctional healthcare.
