NaphCare is selected by the Pierce County (WA) Sheriff’s Department to Provide Healthcare Management for County Inmates
BIRMINGHAM, AL — NaphCare, Inc., an independent partner to correctional facilities nationwide for innovative healthcare management and technology solutions, was recently selected by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Corrections Bureau to provide comprehensive medical care to the inmates housed at the Pierce County Jail located in Tacoma, Washington.
The Sheriff has the obligation to care for persons held in County custody. The department operates a system of two facilities inside one controlled perimeter with a combined population of close to 1,300 inmates and is the second largest jail in Washington.
NaphCare will immediately assume responsibility for the management of all facets of medical, dental, and emergency care for County detainees. In addition, NaphCare will provide off-site hospital/physician network development, medical scheduling, and a web-based medical records system to better manage inmate healthcare and costs.
