Staying the Course in Response to COVID-19
A Message From Our CMO, Dr. Jeff Alvarez
Dear NaphCare Team and Partners,
Community spread of COVID-19 is now present in the majority of our country. It is imperative that we stay the course and do not relax on our commitment to preventative measures. As the world is starting to realize, this pandemic is not resolved with a sprint to a finish line. It is going to be a marathon with an undetermined end point. We must continue to show resolve to assist one another in these difficult times.
We continue to follow all guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including the most recent guidance for correctional facilities (updated July 2020), which inform NaphCare’s General Preventative Principles (available for reference). We have continually engaged with local, state and federal health departments and agencies to develop our protocols in an effort to keep our patients as safe as possible, resulting in encouraging outcomes to date listed below.
As I work closely with our executive team every day, I guarantee you that NaphCare leadership is committed to the continued health and wellbeing of our patients, our team members and our partners and their teams. Although the nation has faced shortages in PPE, our corporate administration has gone above and beyond to ensure that NaphCare frontline staff have not gone a single day without access to an adequate supply of PPE to safely perform their jobs. In addition to providing PPE, our team has continued to maintain supplies of testing materials for identification of positive cases and to conduct contact tracing, isolation and quarantine where needed.
I personally thank all of you for your ongoing efforts during this crisis. It is a testament to your dedication to our patients, and to each other, that we have managed through these first five months with minimal disruption.
