NaphCare Announces Renewal Contract With Newton County, Georgia
Birmingham, AL, (August 7, 2009) - NaphCare, a Birmingham - based provider of correctional health care, recently renewed a contract for health care services at the Newton County Detention Center in Georgia at an annual cost of more than $1.4 million. NaphCare has been the health care provider at the jail since 2003. Commissioners approved a one-year contract at their June 16 meeting.
Sheriff Ezell Brown said that they are more than satisfied with NaphCare and the service they provide. “NaphCare is quick to address any complaints.” The Newton County Detention Center currently has an average daily population of 650 inmates. NaphCare employees are on hand at the detention center 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
